•Gewueztraminer – This wine goes well spicy Indian or Thai Food, as well as strong fish, dried sausages and olives. Gewurztraminer shows characteristics of lychee fruit, nutmeg and rose petals – with moderate acidity.

Enjoy World Class Fishing Conneaut Creek in Conneaut, Ohio is home to some of the world’s best fishing.
Conneaut Creek is most popular for Steelhead Trout Fishing. Steelhead will enter the creek starting in late October and run through April (varies with weather.) You will also find a variety of other fish in Conneaut Creek including smallmouth bass, walleye, and northern pike.
Officially designated a State Wild and Scenic River in 2005, a 21-mile stretch of the creek from the Ohio-Pennsylvania boarder to the former Penn Central Railroad bridge in Conneaut is protected by the state of Ohio.
The stream corridor is home to 78 fish species and 32 species of amphibians and reptiles. The heavily wooded watershed harbors more than 30 unique plants and plant communities, many of which are listed as threatened or endangered.
In places, the stream can be about 40 feet wide and at other times narrows to 15 feet. Water flow levels in Conneaut Creek fluctuate throughout the year – but spring and early summer provide excellent fishing and canoeing opportunities. In addition, Conneaut Creek passes below several beautiful covered bridges and you may even spot some waterfalls.

Whether you enjoy taking a leisure bike ride, or if you are interested in preparing for competitive cycling…
Conneaut is home to the Saddle Soar Cycling club and would love to have you join them for their Saturday Morning Spins around Conneaut, Ohio.
Where: First Congregational UCC Main Street & Buffalo Street
When: Every Saturday at 7:30 am sharp. Don’t be late – they LEAVE at 7:30. Back in Conneaut 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Shorter Rides! 40-50 Miles
Groups:
* Currently, there is no “C” Group. Contact Us if you would like to be the dedicated leader.
A Group – Pace line speed (22-26 mph).
B Group – Pace lined sped (19-23 mph). A and B Groups are fast and competitive rides. Until a B Group Leader is designated, there is a NO Drop rule. At a major intersection, the cycling group will wait or go back for the B Group.
More Information:
•Rides are 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 hours (40-60 miles) You can turn back at any time.
•Route is sent via Email each Friday night of the week
•The Group tries to take on back road with minimal traffic and potholes.
•Leading up to The MS150 – concentration will be based on hills and endurance.
•In the event of bad weather, a ride cancellation notice will be sent via email by 7:15 a.m.
•Church Bathrooms will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 8:25 a.m.
What to Bring:
•The Weekly Route (You will receive via Email).
•A Spare Tube/Tools to fix any bike problems.
•Water and Food.
•Helmet.
•Please, No Personal Stereos.
